Cate Burtner is a fiction writer, editor, and educator. She will graduate from Stanford University in June 2025 with a B.A. in English literature. Her academic interests include women’s literature, French language and studies, creative writing, and education.
She writes fiction about mental illness, womanhood, family, and other fascinations of the hour. Her work has been published in Leland Quarterly and The Stanford Daily. Keep up with the readerly (and writerly) happenings here.
When she’s not writing or studying, Cate runs the Opinions Sections (and formerly ran the Reads section!) at The Stanford Daily, acts as Prose Editor at Leland Quarterly, and tutors high school students in humanities classrooms across the Bay.
